INTERCHANGEABLE STRUCTURAL RACK
Requiring no bolts, UNARCO Structural Rack is available in an interchangeable design. The rigidity of structural applications and the ease of an automatic locking device can allow for simple installation and beam relocation. Upright columns are punched on 2″ centers for 2″ vertical beam adjustability. Structural uprights can be used with structural beams or roll-formed beams for added economy. Roll-formed beams may be automatically attached with the same 2″ adjustability.
Structural Racks are designed with high-strength structural steel C-Channels for added toughness and rigidity. UNARCO offers 3″ upright posts with sturdy structural steel bracing. Heavy-duty structural beams range from 3″ to 6″ in height to meet the most demanding load criteria.
UNARCO also manufactures a 3″ or 4″ structural column with bolted connection for more rigid designs.
Structural Racks are designed to prevent damage from forklift abuse. The posts and beams are constructed from structural steel and are much thicker than roll-formed posts, particularly at the corners that are primary impact points.
The high-strength and durability of structural steel combined with UNARCO engineering and design can solve any project dilemma and create a more efficient warehouse space. The ease of an automatic locking device is only offered by a select few companies in the United States. UNARCO offers this special teardrop punching in structural columns with a powder-coat paint finish for long lasting durability.
System Highlights:
Structural Rack with Interchangeable Connectivity can be a very cost efficient system with roll-formed beams and the durability of structural steel uprights.
Interchangeable teardrop punching pattern
Roll-formed beams with automatic locking devices snap in for fast installation
Heavy-duty structural steel bracing
Versatility to use structural beams at lower levels and roll-formed beams for upper shelves where forklift traffic is not an issue
Roll-formed beams up to 6" high for extra capacity
Some warehouse systems require the durability or open C-Channel of the structural rack for uprights. This does not mean that all of the beams have to be bolted or C-Channel structural steel. A hybrid design lets you mix structural steel and roll-formed beams with the simple use of the keyhole, teardrop punching of interchangeable uprights.

Interchangeability Can Be a Cost-Effective Design Solution
The initial cost of a racking system is a big investment. Sometimes an all structural rack system is not needed and savings from roll-formed beams in a hybrid design can help direct capital to other warehouse components. It is not just a less expensive option, but is often a smart choice for ease of installation and future expansion.
